MCS- Daily Rig Reporting System (DRRS)

MCS- DRRS is a tool designed to capture and report drilling data obtained from the rig sites on daily bases and store it into Database.
The user interface was designed to make data entry easier using drop lists and built in Quality Control tools.

Drilling Performance Analyzer (DPA)

Throughout the drilling phases of a well, a large volume of drilling information collected at considerable expense. Every detail of an operation, every pressure test conducted, and every problem experienced methodically recorded and stored in drilling reports. Conducting the drilling is the primary concern; planning and analysis is secondary.

With all of this drilling information available, it may prove more costly to ignore information gathered from past experience about problems which occurred, than it is to spend a small (but significant) amount of time planning and analyzing past drilling performance.

Until now, there has not been an effective integrated system able to sift through drilling data and use it efficiently in the analysis of drilling performance. The Analyzer extracts historical information from a database to enable Drilling Engineers to effectively analyze drilling performance on historical wells. The Analyzer provides a number of tools to facilitate analysis and planning, including:

  • Drilling performance analysis tools, such as Learn Curve, Time Distribution and Fishbone analysis
  • Historical data analysis tools, with various modules such as   Trajectory, Mud, and Time versus Depth etc.

The Analyzer would be used after a well has been drilled to compare the way the drilling was planned and how it was actually drilled.
