In
line with the aggressive plans to facilitate the data management
in oil companies, MCS
identified a project for Petrobel (Belayim Petroleum Co., Egypt)
on “How to maintain the drilling data?”
MCS
was chosen to implement a Drilling Data Management solution
for Petrobel. |

We
were faced with the following challenges |

 Historical
well data was huge (more than 200 wells).
Historical
well data was hard to capture from hardcopy documents.
Historical
well data was incomplete.
Data
exists in many formats (ASCII, Excel, Word, pictures and hardcopy
documents).

Solutions |

MCS
was responsible to manage the project from collecting historical
well data, data entry, Data Quality Control, installing the
system ,training the personnel, helping the personnel in generating
reports, and analyzing the performance. |

by few clicks.
Many
types of reports can be generated such as; managerial reports,
annual activity reports, cost analysis, statistical
reports.
Performance
analysis, Time breakdowns and learn Curves can be generated
for a single well or group of wells at the same
time.
Deep
trouble investigation is a very easy process for the solution
user.
Browsing
and printing data in many forms such as plots and tables.
Exporting
summaries, charts and data tables to conventional office
automation software like MS Word or MS Excel is
possible for later reuse.
