The underwater technical solutions company, MCS, has joined forces with oilfield services provider, Saipem, to digitalise asset integrity management for energy operators.
The two companies have combined their expertise across asset integrity, subsea robotics and data science and software to launch the PALM Suite or Platform for Asset Lean Management.
It includes advanced features and uses Digital Twin technology to create 3D reconstructions for subsea dimensional control and Internet of Things (IoT) data gathering to optimise asset performance and contribute to an efficient and sustainable industry.
Chief Executive of MCS Group, Wael Bakr, said: “We are committed to tackling global energy challenges with our own designed and patented technology and this partnership sees us working together to enhance projects with smart and proven solutions.
“Data-driven industry solutions are critical as we prepare the sector for the future. We develop new technologies in-line with the fourth industrial revolution, or industry 4.0, movement and look forward to continuing to deliver impactful projects which will contribute to both energy security and more sustainable industry practices.”
